Services · Parents & Parenting Work

Support for parents, in their own right.

Parents and caregivers are at the center of a young child’s world, and I find this work of helping parents understand and support their children to be some of the most meaningful I do.

How I work with parents

Depending on what you’re looking for, this work takes different forms — sometimes more than one over time.

Guidance and reflection

For some parents, this is practical, evidence-based Parent Management Training (PMT) and guidance for a specific set of challenges. For others, it is a chance to reflect on their own experience in the midst of parenting, to better understand their reactions to their child’s needs and bids for connection, and to respond in ways that help their child feel safe, understood, and secure.

Co-parenting work for couples

I also work with couples as they navigate the shared work of raising children: the decisions, the different strengths and histories each parent brings, and the effort of staying aligned and supportive of one another through the demands of family life.

Alongside your child’s therapy, or on its own

This work is available alongside therapy I am providing to a child, or independently, for parents who are not seeking treatment for their child but want support navigating their own experience of parenting.

I see parents in person on the Upper East Side and by telehealth across New York State. You’re welcome to reach out to talk about what would be most helpful. Get in touch →
